A BRIEF HISTORY

Sunrise Intenational School Abuja, is an Islamic school that was borne out of the vision to provide refined mordern education seasoned with Islamic values. It was founded by the Islamic Education Trust. The school started with the nursery section which was commissioned on Friday, 25th September 1998 by Pastors Ina and Sarah Omakwu. Academic activities commenced on Monday, 30th September 1998 with an initial enrolment of twenty-nine (29) pupils and 17 staff member. As the school’s population increased, the school expanded into primary and subsequently planning for the High School.

Today, the population of the entire school ang its graduants has grown to over a thousand pupils/students, with a robust staff strength of qualified teachers.

2002 SEPT

Nursery Section Commissioned The school started with the nursery section which was commissioned on Friday, 27th September 2002 by Pastors Ina and Sarah Omakwu.
Academic Activities Commenced Academic activities commenced on Monday, 30th September 2002 with an initial enrolment of twenty-nine (29) pupils and 17 staff member.

2007 SEPT

High School Was Inaugurated The High School was inaugurated on the 24th of September 2007 and operates as a co-educational day school in its temporary site in Wuye district Abuja.
